Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day
Over the last year, I had heard a lot of talk about this book that explained how you could make your own bread and only spend a small amount of time doing it. Making bread at home is something I’ve always wanted to do, but usually passed on it as the process seemed so lengthy and involved.
A couple of months back, I mentioned that My Husband was baking bread. He started with a recipe that he found on UTube and had reasonably good results with it. I then ordered a copy of Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day: The Discovery That Revolutionizes Home Baking
(check out the blog that the authors have over HERE) for him. He dove right in and that first couple of weeks we enjoyed fresh baked bread with dinner several times a week. A few times he sprinkled the seasoning blends that we use for olive oil dippers over the top before baking and it really added some amazing flavor.
Then, the craziness of the holidays came upon us, and the bread making stopped. Then, an amazing thing happened. We invited the family over to celebrate Hanukkah with us, and he was once again inspired to make bread to share with them. It was a last minute decision – well, several hours before dinnertime – and that was still plenty of time to allow the dough to rise properly.
Everyone really enjoyed having some fresh bread with our meal. Personally, I loved it, but My Husband thought that the crust was not crunchy enough. So, we’ll see what the next loaf brings as he continues to tinker with it and try different things.
Have a great night! I'll be back soon to share a wonderful Chicken Noodle Soup I made earlier this week to help me fight a cold (and IT WORKED!) and a new variation on My Oldest Boy's favorite Banana Bread.

That bread looks terrific! As good as any bakery!
Lucky girl!
